Birth Announcements - Fredrick, Barney, Mathew or John?
The traditional route was a birth announcement in a national broadsheet paper. It certainly might reach a wide audience but you would probably need a magnifying glass to read it. On top of that, they aren’t cheap to get your baby’s name in the paper for just one day.
Then there is the more local approach- your local paper. The Local Village Chronicle offers birth announcements so all your old friends from nursery school will be able to read the great news, as well as your neighbours.
But what about the more personal birth announcement messages? A simple and traditional route is the printed card with the baby’s birth details and better still, photo. You can take all your details to a local printer or simply order online at home! There’s lots of online baby announcement websites which let you create a personalised photo cards in less than in 5 minutes. You can upload your baby’s photo into a beautiful birth announcement template, enter Freddie’s details and then wait a few short days for the postman to deliver your beautiful cards, with envelopes.
Then you can send them to your ‘A’ list friends and if you run out its not difficult to reorder. So as so many people can have Freddie on their fridge or mantle piece as you like.
Many of these birth announcement sites offer a personal baby’s web page. You can create a private web address and you can send this to literally hundreds of your colleagues on email.
An added bonus to these private web pages is option to let your virtual well wishers ‘sign your guest book’. It won’t be long until you have lots of wonderful messages from colleagues, as well as family and friends, which you can treasure forever.
